The Pattern
Not carelessness — just years of small, reasonable decisions taken one at a time by people with other jobs to do. The result is remarkably consistent.
The Catalogue
Vendor names, because technical readers will want them. A sentence each, because nobody should have to look them up.
The business and enterprise subscription range, plus add-ons for security, identity, compliance and telephony. POLARIS is a Microsoft partner. See the detail.
The tiers that unlock conditional access, risk-based sign-in policy and privileged access control — the licences that decide who can get in, from where, and on what device.
The antivirus layer on every device. Where your Microsoft licensing already includes it and it does the job, we configure that rather than selling you a second product on top.
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 — filtering, impersonation protection and safe links across the route most attacks still take. Usually already inside the licence you hold.
WatchGuard firewalls and secure Wi-Fi, with the subscription services that sit on top of the hardware and keep it useful.
Veeam, covering Microsoft 365 data, endpoints and virtual server infrastructure — so a deletion in March is still recoverable in June.
VMware licensing. Terms and packaging have changed substantially since the Broadcom acquisition and renewal costs frequently surprise people — we will model yours before it lands, including when the honest answer is to move the workload somewhere else.
Supplied on request where we can genuinely add something through supply and support. Where we cannot, we will tell you to buy it direct.
Commitment Terms
Subscription commitment rules are where unpleasant surprises live. Here is how they work, in plain English.
An annual commitment is cheaper per user because you are committing for the year. A monthly commitment costs more, and what you are buying with the difference is the freedom to change your mind.
Once an annual term is running, the seat count is broadly fixed until renewal. There is a short window after purchase in which changes can be made — we will tell you when your window closes rather than letting you discover it.
How long you commit for and how often you are invoiced are two different questions. You can commit annually and still be billed monthly — worth knowing before someone tells you otherwise.
Seasonal or volatile headcount is usually best handled with a stable annual core plus a monthly layer for the movement. We model this before purchase, not after the invoice arrives.
Vendor programme terms change. This page describes how commitments behave in principle and deliberately publishes no specific windows, figures or programme rules — the position that applies to your purchase is confirmed in writing at the time.
Switching Supplier
The transfer changes who your subscriptions are billed through and supported by. That is all it changes.
Mailboxes, files, Teams, SharePoint and user accounts are unaffected. Nobody signs in differently, nothing migrates, and there is no downtime — this is a commercial change, not a technical one.
Commercials
Licensing is invoiced monthly in arrears alongside any support agreement, on one invoice covering the estate. Annual commitments can be billed annually where you prefer the simplicity.
Subscription prices follow the vendor's published changes. Where a vendor announces an increase we pass on what they publish, with notice, and we tell you what it means for your renewal before it takes effect.
There is no seat threshold to get sensible advice. A five-user business gets the same licence review as a hundred-user one.
You do not need a support agreement to buy your licensing through us. It works better together — assignment and reclaim happen inside the support process — but it is not a condition.
No prices are published on this site. Licensing is quoted for your actual estate after the review, because a per-user figure quoted before anyone has looked is a guess.
The Other Pillars
Support administers the licences Software supplies — assignment, reclaim and the day-to-day of keeping the estate accurate.
Explore SupportA licence change is often the output of a Consult recommendation — a security tier that enables a control you actually need.
Explore ConsultThe subscription range in detail — what each tier includes, which security features come with which licence, and what most businesses actually need.

We look at what you hold and what it should be, and give you a written summary. Most reviews find something worth acting on — often money already being spent on the wrong thing.
